AMC Factory Fire

On the evening of 27 October 2015 we experienced a fire at our factory in Atlantis, Cape Town. The damage was extensive and has brought a halt to our production for the time being. AMC Cookware has been a household product in South Africa for the past 47 years. We are immensely proud of our reputation and are doing everything we can to get production up as soon as possible. Currently we are estimating that this will happen within the next four to six months.

Can you still buy AMC Cookware?
Yes you can. Our stock has been affected by the fire so we might be out of stock on items, and this will increase as time passes. So cash sales as well as online sales of these out of stock products will be difficult.

Should you want to purchase AMC, why not place a PriceSaver order with an AMC Consultant. With a PriceSaver order you can purchase your cookware over 14 months or even shorter, and you will receive the cookware once your order has been paid in full. By this time we will be in production again and your cookware will be delivered to you. As these orders are going to be ideal for buying cookware in the near future, we have even extended PriceSaver orders to be over 18 or 24 months too.

But I want cookware NOW!
We have introduced a new range of AMC cookware from Europe that we will sell under our AMC brand. Our AMC Synergy range is of exceptional quality and one that we are very excited about. It is covered by the AMC lifetime guarantee and you also receive the same excellent after sales service from AMC.

At present, we are expecting the range to be available from mid-December 2015. It will be available online as well as through an AMC Consultant for cash and credit orders. (Update 9/12/2015: The AMC Synergy range is now available.)

But I have a PriceSaver order that matures soon?
Please be assured that we will meet all of our commitments. If your PriceSaver is maturing soon and perhaps because of stock problems we won’t be able to fulfil your order yet, a member of our Customer Services team will contact you to discuss this. Please have patience with us, and be assured, you will receive your cookware. 

What about repolishing?
Repolishing of existing AMC cookware has closed for now. We will reopen this aspect of the business as soon as it is possible to do so.
