Heleen MeyerWe are excited to announce our new AMC Brand Ambassador – Heleen Meyer! With a nine year work experience as AMC’s Home Economist, she really knows what’s cooking when it comes to making meals in AMC.

Heleen’s career started as the assistant to the food editor for Sarie magazine and then left to pursue her career as a Home Economist with AMC. In 2008 she went out on her own, and is currently freelancing as a food consultant and taking part in various radio inserts and interviews, as well as television programs. She often shares her passion for food in a range of cooking demonstrations and food and wine pairings. Heleen is also involved in recipe development for companies such as the Heart and Stroke Foundation, and does Corporate Team Building through cookery classes.

To add to this, Heleen has written two very successful cookbooks. Her first book – “Onthoukos” was published in 2008 and came third in the world in its category of “First Recipe Books” at the International Gourmand World Cookbook Awards 2009. In 2010 “Onthoukos” was translated into English, namely “Food from the heart”. In 2009 Heleen published “Kos is op die tafel” – a collection of tasty, easy family recipes that was named the SA winner of the Gourmand’s ‘Best Easy Recipes’ category.

As Brand Ambassador, Heleen will be cooking in AMC and promoting the use of AMC above other brands through her day-to-day business. With her previous experience at AMC she is the perfect candidate to explain why cooking in AMC is the best option in all aspects, from savings in the kitchen to healthy cooking for the whole family.
