How to use your AMC Knife Sharpener

There are few things worse than trying to slice and dice your vegetables with a blunt knife.  Using well sharpened knives ensures an extended lifespan and a quality cut each time. Now you can maintain your kitchen knives with ease with the AMC Knife sharpener.

Using your AMC Knife Sharpener

With a stable, non-slip base, the AMC Knife Sharpener fits comfortably in your left or right hand. The black handle gives control for honing or sharpening knives.

A two-stage process, easily brings new life to blunt knives or use the sharpener to maintain your knives edge. The AMC Knife Sharpener is the perfect partner for our AMC Edge Knife set and magnetic strip.

Stage one - Sharpening:

  1. Hold the sharpener firmly by the handle on a steady, flat surface. 
  2. Place the heel of the blade between the sharpening 'V' (stage one).
  3. Keeping the edge in contact with the sharpening 'V', gently pull the blade through to the tip
  4. Repeat as necessary depending on the dullness of the blade.

Stage two - Honing:

  1. Hold the sharpener firmly by the handle on a steady, flat surface.
  2. Place the heel of the blade between the cereamic honing discs (stage two).
  3. Keeping the edge in contact with ceramic discs, gently pull the blade through to the tip. Repeat as necessary.
  4. Honing your knives will keep them sharper for longer.
